Getting Started
How do I get started and get an estimate?
Our event manager is eager to hear about your celebration! With a few details (event date, location, estimated number of guests) we are happy to prepare a personalized estimate.
How far in advance should I book my event?
Please provide a 72-hour notice to secure your time and date. You may be able to accommodate late notice request on a case-by-case basis.
What are your deposit and payment requirements?
A deposit of 50% of the event estimate is required to reserve an event date. The remaining balance is due five business days prior to the event date,
What is your cancellation policy?
- 30 days or more prior to the event date – no cancellation fee
- 8-30 days prior to the event date – cancellation fee is 25% of the event estimate
- 7 days or less prior to the event date – cancellation fee is 50% of the event estimate
Food/Menu
What type of events do you provide delivery service?
We provide delivery service for working or social breakfast, lunches, dinners, and meetings. We also deliver for banquets, graduations, family, gatherings, and groups of any size.
How is the food served?
We specialize in buffet style and plated meals. Our friendly staff will unload and set up your order to your satisfaction in all disposable containers, making clean up quick and easy when you’re done we also offer individual box options.
What is included in menu prices?
The menu prices include the food, delivery, set up and disposable pans.
Plastic cups, serving utensils, disposable shaping dishes, plastic bowl and plates are available for purchase. Delivery charges may apply in some cases.
What if I only need the food and not staffing?
We also offer pick up or delivery as an option.
What if I have special dietary needs, like an allergy to certain foods or ingredients?
We work hard to offer our guest outstanding service, and accommodating dietary requirements is part of that service. Please share your restrictions or special request with a sales manager.
Do you offer options for vegetarians?
Our menu offers delicious option for vegetarians. Can’t find what you need or anything in particular you have in mind? Call to speak with the sales manager.
Do you provide alcoholic beverages?
Alcohol is available on our menu. We offer beer, wine, and mixed beverages.
Staff/Services
Will Sense of Occasion travel outside the city?
Yes! We are happy to accommodate events in the surrounding areas. Distance and fees will depend on our availability.
What is full-service catering?
Full-service means you will have the staff to set up, serve and keep the buffet full and fresh. Our team will concentrate on timing, quality control and managing portions, while you and your guests enjoy the event! Breaking down and removing the buffet is also included.
Can you provide bartenders?
We provide our TABC certified bartenders for an additional cost.
Can you help me with additional rentals?
Absolutely! Work with our event manager to plan every detail of your event, including tables, chairs, linens, and more! Be sure to check out our Catering Add-ons and Services page for more information!
